Today they released two new 9mm drum magazines. Magpul MP5 drum and Magpul Glock 17 drum.
Ets 9mm 31 Round Extended Magazine For Glock
Last month, Magpul released the CZ Scorpion PMAG D-50 EV9. Their PMAG D-50 GL9 has yet to be released. It's an AR-9 PCC Glock with a drum magazine. Well, now they came out with a full Glock 17 drum magazine. All D-50 9mm drum magazines share the same components. All Magpul had to do was change the turrets.
There are a few things to be aware of with the Magpul Glock 17 magazine. The magazine catch on your Glock may need to be replaced or upgraded. Jon Canipe from Magpul told us that hanging 50 BBs on a plastic frame is quite easy, and the weight of the drum doesn't help either. So if you have a Gen 3 Glock 17 with longer range, you should get a new spare magazine. If you have a Gen 4/5 Glock 17 you should upgrade the magazine holder.
The Glock 17 Jon brought in has a magazine well mounted on a Magpul. According to Jon, the new Glock 17 barrel should fit more wells. Not sure about the egg gun wells as they are too deep but we'll see when they come out.

Like the Glock 17 barrel, the Magpul MP5 barrel shares the same parts. The only change is the magnetic turret to accommodate the MP5.
The Magpul MP5 drum magazine is a type of D-60 5.56 drum. Standard MP5 magazines are two-piece, double-feeding like an AR-15 magazine. So Mag-MP MP is one stack. You can see a door hinge on the side of the storage tower, similar to the D-60 drum. The length of the Magpul MP5 drum magazine is the same as the factory 15 MP5 magazine
There are problems. Making a Magpul MP5 drum is easy. The design of their drum magazines is a drum with a single column feeding the weapon. The MP5 magazines are two-position and dual-feed. Although the CZ Scorpion is similar, it was designed from the ground up with a polymer magazine. MP5 magazines are metal and very light. There is a very small polymer chamber and a double 9mm stack. Jon Canipe says that they are not currently creating an MP5 magazine until they can create one that is 100% reliable and satisfactory for their standards. Until now, all other MP5 polymer magazines available on the market were limited. Hopefully Magpul can sort this out, but in the meantime you can get their MP5 drum magazine in Q2 2021. It will sell for $119.95 as well as other 9mm drums.
